Good advice - the True Cost to Own tool doesn't include the GLK yet, but that's a good way to estimate your costs down the road.

Ditto the Edmunds Maintenance Guide - once they go live for the GLK, you'll have a list of what to request be done and an estimate of what the service should cost.

If you did a European delivery wouldn't you save around 7%?

Got my GLK by psdesertrat

I have had my GLK for a month now. Traded in my 08 CTS-4. I'm truly impressed with the MB. Bought it pretty much fully loaded.
I just read the review of the Volvo, MB and Audi. Although, the Audi rated a little higher, I recall that Audi no longer has OnStar. That has been my deciding point on any vehicle after having OnStar. Teleaid seems to be little better with some newer features.
Likes: Ease of access, rear seats easy to fold from the back and easy to put back up, since I haul quite a bit. I like the quiet ride. The H-K sound is really nice. I find the controller easy to use. I saw the Q5 and our dog would have a hayday standing on the center console with all the buttons. Criticize the dash, but when it comes down to it, it's efficient. 3 ways to dial the phone. At least it does not have the little electric column shift the ML has.....Love the cornering lamps too,,,
My biggest gripes:
Put a set of mud guards on. A splash goes all over the sides. Don't get the steps...but figure about 400 for the dealer's....
And the worst: I bought this because it is sold as a off road vehicle. It only comes with M/S tires. Try to find a A/T tires to fit....NOT! I bought this SUV for dirt/rock/sand/snow and wound up with street tires. I've asked the dealer to see if there is someone who is willing to trade their 18 or 17's for my 19's. We'll see....
Also, you cannot vent the sunroof without opening the shade all the way. The CTS would vent and the shade would crack about 2 inches.
And, when premium is only .20 cents more, 2 to 3 bucks more for gas is not that big of a deal....think of what you spend on food.......
I wish the little pocket in the console was larger to handle the newer phones.

I'll keep you posted on new developments......

Congrats, good luck with the GLK. We're still debating whether or not to go with the GLK, the XC90 or the MDX. I checked out the Audi and I thought it was a nice vehicle but that the seats were a little too firm. The GLK is also easier to "option" than the XC90. Also I like the GLK nav system much better.

Keep us posted.

I took a short 257 mile trip today. I averaged around 70 to 80 mph with a 1600 ft climb, with and w/o air on. I averaged 21.8 mpg with about 1500 mile on the car.
Amazing that upon arrival, I didn't feel any strain from the trip. And I wound up down loading and selecting/deleting the music for the HD that I wanted.

It's worth reading the comparison test in Automobile Mag, What I find funny is that not one editor mentioned the availability of Teleaid, which was my deciding factor.

Hope this helps a little more with your decisions.
