My 1992 Lexus SC 300 with 120,000 miles that has been running fine until recently it started running poorly & dying with a puff of white smoke. Installed a new head gasket, but still running poorly & dying. Took it to a Toyota dealer & they thought it may be bad gas. Had them drain the tank. It ran great for 3 days. Now it's back to running rough, not idling & blowing black smoke. Toyota wants to try replacing the ECM, but they are not sure that is the problem. At $1000.00 I want to be reasonably sure that is the problem & not throwing parts at it until we fix it. Anyone have a similar situation?Larry
