I don't buy that they couldn't have stuffed the 3.7 into the Euro 6. It's a fairly large midsize sedan, not a Miata. I could be completely wrong of course... I just have a hard time believing that. I think my major issue with the new 6 is not how the new car ended up. I understand the reasons for increased size, softer handling.. etc. But, what they could've had with the Euro6 is increased size, decreased weight, better mpg, better styling, better handling (simply due to decreased weight). All this without spending a dime in new R&D. The NA 09 6 would've been great 3-4 years ago, but with fuel prices the way they are, I doubt it'll make much of a splash.

Replying to: m6user (Aug 23, 2008 7:56 am) The EPA uses 55% city and 45% highway driving to get the combined figure. If you drive 550 miles at 21 mpg that will use 26.19 gal, next drive 450 miles at 30 mpg and you use 15 gal. Combined usage is then 41.19 gallons for 1000 miles or 24.3 mpg. Now I'm off to email EPA and say "nevermind".
