Regular oil vs. synthetic oil by gohmdoongee

Hey guys, I have finally surpassed the 10k mark on my car. And I've been using the regular oil during oil change and I'm thinking of making my move into the synthetic world for the first time.

Any recommendations? Do you guys think its a good idea to make the change? And is there any real difference between the two?

I'm a bit worried about my MPG. But it seems like everybody's having the same issue. Also wondering if that'll be affected for the better if I make the change to synthetic.

Anyways, any input will be great. Thanks guys!

I picked up .5 to 1 mpg when I went from whatever the dealer fill was to 5w-20 synthetic.

I am going to switch to synthetic after my next oil change (about 5000 miles) and change it every 5000-6000 miles along with a nissan filter.
