Regular drivers are best served with the Audi, that's why in Germany , Austria and Switzerland this is the most prospering brand, already leading in quality. By the way, the Jag (a dream in my youth) is impossible to resell, please look for sales numbers in Germany, the home of Premium Cars (+ these of Lexus) A fair comparison should have been the S6 or RS6! I'm driving the RS4, no comparable Merc or BMW have any chance at wet or even worse condition, read the German sales numbers! with kindly regards, PIzzarix |

| I concur with the findings. Jaguar has a nice car in the XF, but it is too bad that it hits the U.S. market in the midst of gas price escalations and a horrible economy. Bad timing. | |

Replying to: KarenS (May 13, 2008 7:40 am) 1) Does anyone have experience driving the supercharged XF in snow or ice? The 20" summer performance tires are not rated for mixed weather of course, but I was wondering just how dangerous is the vehicle in an inch or two of snow given the vehicle's traction technologies. 2) The salesman (20 years of jaguar experience) claims his customers experience 27 mpg during highway driving in the supercharged XF. Can anyone validate that claim? Thanks

Lifelong skier in the northern NE states, and for the first time in my life, I have snow tires. Now, factor in RWD, an infinitely more powerful engine putting the horses on those rear wheels with tires that will most likely be a disaster in the snow, and well, disaster... Just imho, of course. Hopefully, a voice of actual XF experience will chime in... |

| Put the 535i instead of the 550i in the test and the result would have been far different. The 535i w/ sport pkg has basically the same performance as the 550i at a cost that is far less than the 550i | |
