The only problem with the 'nefarious names' theory is that those accounts showing up on the leaderboard aren't worth much financially, and they're not moving in terms of wealth. It's really hard to manipulate a stock with no money and no change in worth.

Perhaps. But if they were manipulated collectively.... One thing I noticed is that they all seem to go up and down within a couple hundredths of a percent, which leads me to believe they're duplicates in the assets held, despite the obvious differences in account value. I find it hard to believe that the spreads would be so uniform otherwise. I leave it up to the system administrator here to check the geography of the ISPs and the allocations, since none of us are psychic.

Thanks for checking into it, Mike. I'm not concerned about the chung-lookalikes really, but more the ones that look like they were typed in randomly - "asdfjklsld" and such. (Not a real username.) There were a ton of those on the leaderboard at one point.
