In the same boat you are always read kdhspyders post, he seems to know the prius. I have one on order w/pak 2, it is suppose to be here on may 30. I also wish it would hurry up or it may cost 50 dollars to fill it up. Ha Ha. I sure hope I made a wise decision buying the Prius.

The Prius is such a limited production vehicle that I'm not at all worried about being able to trade in my soon to arrive '08 for a 2010 when/if the time comes. I live in San Antonio and would love for Toyota to add a Prius line to the Tundra that they manufacture here. It is my understanding that the plant here was built to handle two lines and all of the on site suppliers were built to do the same. It would be a little ironic to build the hybrid in Texas...for many reasons.

Thanks
From your Avy to your Prius you should cut that $470 monthly gas bill in half.
oldcoach and camry04se:
When you both get yours post any questions you can think of. Hopefully your salesperson(s) have some knowledge of the Prius and HSD and is able to give you a thorough delivery. There's nothing worse then coming from a vehicle from the mid 20th Century and being dropped into the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon and told 'CYa'. You'll love it nonetheless.

I think my dealership will do a good job on informing me about the Prius, as there is a lady that all she does is inform the prius buyers.I sure hope so. The only concerns I have are the tires and wind shere, kdhspyder should these be big concerns? Will be getting back to you when my new car arrives.

Excellent. I am sure you hope tomorrow is Thursday. Called my dealer last Friday and was told that mine got delayed three more weeks. Please report back how you like yours.. but again, I might know the answer already.
I nornally drive between 75 - 80 mph on the freeway, I wonder how does that affect the mileage? Enjoy your new toy.

The tires are no biggie issue. They are the Goodyear Integrity's which are just run-of-the-mill midsize/compact tires. Nothing special nothing horrible. Mine lasted exactly 50000 miles with no issues. Replaced with the next level up Goodyear Comforttreads. I expect these to last 80000 mi.
Wind buffetting is only really noticeable in that it's there. It doesn't affect the driving at all.
