It's interesting to see someone else that had the same unique situation as yours. We brought a 2004 Camry SE V6 to replace my 1990 Acura Legend. The wife liked the Camry so much that she wanted to drive it to work instead and I ended up with her old 97 Avalon. The Avalon is a fine car and gets about 24 mpg. But when I add up my gas bill for April, it's $469! That's when we start talking about getting a prius. Instead for giving our money away to the oil compay, I finally broken down and ordered a prius on May 12. It's a Touring w/ pkg 2. The guy said it'll be here in three weeks. Impatiently waiting... I also wish it would hurry up or it may cost 50 dollars to fill it up. Ha Ha. I sure hope I made a wise decision buying the Prius. Replying to: camry04se (May 09, 2008 4:10 am) The Prius is such a limited production vehicle that I'm not at all worried about being able to trade in my soon to arrive '08 for a 2010 when/if the time comes. I live in San Antonio and would love for Toyota to add a Prius line to the Tundra that they manufacture here. It is my understanding that the plant here was built to handle two lines and all of the on site suppliers were built to do the same. It would be a little ironic to build the hybrid in Texas...for many reasons.

Hopefully your salesperson(s) have some knowledge of the Prius and HSD and is able to give you a thorough delivery. There's nothing worse then coming from a vehicle from the mid 20th Century and being dropped into the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon and told 'CYa'. You'll love it nonetheless. The only concerns I have are the tires and wind shere, kdhspyder should these be big concerns? Will be getting back to you when my new car arrives. Please report back how you like yours.. but again, I might know the answer already. I nornally drive between 75 - 80 mph on the freeway, I wonder how does that affect the mileage? Enjoy your new toy.
