Mate your link say nothing about importing Mitsubishi cars with Diesel engine into the USA. You got it all wrong. I told you that even the Chinese are selling Diesel 4WD in Europe.

New Performance Diesel Model Under Development
In 2010, the Lancer line will gain a powerful turbo-diesel model. Mitsubishi last sold a diesel-powered pickup truck in the U.S. market in 1985. The next-generation Mitsubishi turbo-diesel announced at the NAIAS for the U.S. will be based on the engine that MMC is developing together with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for European export models. The new engine incorporates a DPF + NOx trap catalyst system to ensure compliance with U.S. Tier II Bin 5 emissions regulations that require NOx (nitrogen oxides) emissions to be as low as those from gasoline engines.

You said 2012, which is your opinion. I never said anything about a diesel engine for the Outlander. I was simply saying a diesel engine for Mitsubishi vehicles. Lancer will get it first in 2010. Did I mention Outlander? NO. That's because there is no mention of an Outlander Diesel just yet. But then you said you doubt it

To quote you:
I doubt it. Only very few brands (e.g. Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW, Audi) have managed to pass the emission regulations for Diesel engines in the USA. Mitsubishi will need at least 5-years to produce a low toxic gas emission.

My personal opinion Diesel will no be available in a degree like the petrol engine until 2012.

You and I were not even talking about a diesel Outlander but Diesel engine in general.

Then you come back saying you said something about a diesel Outlander by 2012. You were talking about diesel engine in general. Read your posts dude and also read mine, and understand it.

OK, I thought we were in a 2009 Outlander forum. So you see that was my confusion. I think someone asked (in the 2009 Outlander column) if Mitsubishi expect to provide a Diesel engine (i.e. for the Outlander in my understanding) so why to talk about the Lancer (?).

Thanks for your single liner. You might want to read the old posts too before you make your intelligent single liner comment. The discussion is not about the Lancer, but you didn't seem to pick that up. Wanna join the fun? You're on. Lets see what you have to say about diesel engines from Mitsubishi then since you seem to have figured it out.Maybe you can enlighten us by your wisdom.
