Replying to: karnak (Apr 21, 2008 3:59 am) Nissan tranny shifts smoothly in general. Mine rarely/never shifts hard, but it can be noticable when i stay concentrate. My Quest, a 4-speed model, shows spike in rpm in between shifts when it is warmed up. I can hear and see it (through engine & tech), but I cannot feel it. Personally driving wise, Quest has the best ride in the segment; excellent steering feedback and firm (not harsh) ride. The downsides are that it lacks refinement, and lagging behind in features (ie no 2nd row scroll down windows, no 3rd row split-fold, and wide turning circle). If you plan want a reliable transport, it may not be the best choice (check on Consumer Report). The resale value will not competitive because this model will be discontinue shortly and replace by Forum.
