Honda knows the difference between revision and improvement, and you can see the evidence in the 2009 Honda Pilot. It looks different, only the same. Or maybe it's the same, only different. But what you can't see are the dozens and dozens of places within this utility package where the Honda engineers have fiddled with the details.

The styling is growing on me quickly -- or at least, more quickly than the Accord. However, the Pilot reminds me more of the last Isuzu Trooper than the Explorer.

they did a nice job on the redesign (except the belt buckle grille)
the old one looked so generic, this one looks very modern and clean- purposeful.
not a fan of crossovers but glad to see they improved the utility. it doesn't make sense to have a white interior though. they might want to rethink that...

Alone, I guess it's not so bad looking, just kinda' dull,
But sit this vehicle next to something like a Buick Enclave, and there's no comparison. Inside or out.

The features mentioned on Honda's website indicate that a lot of them were taken from the MDX. You can see similarities of the navigation screen, the layout of the climate control - even color moods, the way the map lights are established as well as the menu button with scroll option is very much like the Acura MDX. The instrument panel also looks like it was taken from the MDX. Even the features such as bluetooth, rearview camera. The placement of the speakers are again very MDX like.
Is it how Honda wants their vehicles to be ? Alienating Acura's customers by building something similar but at a relatively lower price point ?
If Honda wants to establish their Acura brand as a "luxury" brand, then they should have more distinction with the two brands.
This is what I fear when you buy an Acura or a Lexus, not enough distinction on the vehicles & they charge a premium for their brands. It is a classic way of rebadging a vehicle, although it is much worse, they charge you more for a rebadge vehicle.
Just sharing my opinion
#7 of 54 Is this a Honda or a Hummer/Nissan hybrid?

The rear is undoubtedly inspired by the Pathfinder and Armada platform, while the front reminds me of a hummer or like a much more modern Lamborghini LM002 front.
Still looks better than the current bland Pilot, but could've had alot more originality in it.

Actually its more like a Chrysler/Nissan hybrid

That centre dash has so many buttons. I thought the cars are moving away from clutter? Toyota Venza for me thank you very much

I am not a fan of American cars but I have to disagree with your comment on the Buick Enclave. The Buick has a much nicer and modern appeal than the box presented by Honda.
