2001 disco II, water pump went bad so I replaced it. I took it out on a drive to make sure all was right. I got about ten miles and the truck just died, no sputtering or warning, just died. After coming to a stop I tried to crank it again. It would hit and try to crank but not. After acouple of hours I tried again and now it will not even hit. It will start if I spray ether into the intake but of course when that burns off (3 seconds) it shuts back off. I checked the sensor beside the crank to make sure the serpintine belt did not damage it when I took it off and back on, and no visible damage. Any idea where I should look.

car skidded, blew 2 tires, now will not turn over. friend got impact message while turning key. what do I do now?
