Let's be clear. I am not the bummer, the law is the bummer.

I am merely stating the facts in an effort to help inform people, that have the money to afford a Skyline GTR, about the legality and risks of pursuing this avenue of ownership. Clearly the poster before you could use a little information on what is legal and what is not (i.e. Federal Law trumphs State law).

Happy motoring,

Yes, 100+ Skylines! Some are legal Federally compliant cars imported by Motorex, most are illegal "kit cars", and some are outright scams.

Do you know which is which? Not everything that glitters is gold...

Everybody seems to know that many of the skylines in America now are illegal. But that doesn't make me not want one. So how do I get a Skyline that IS federally compliant. And how much money are we talking. Also do I have to buy one that is in America already. Or is there a way to have one imported from Japan and modified to meet regulations??? These are the questions people should be asking and the answers that I don't have. PLEASE somebody clear it up for me. I don't want my dream car to slip through my fingers just because I can't figure out the truth.
