When is Spectra getting World engine?

I was at a KIA dealer the other day looking at a Spectra5 and was disappointed to see a plastic timing cover which means it has a timing belt which means it is the older cast iron engine (correct me if I'm wrong here). I'm not in need of a car right now, but I like to play the "what would I buy if something seriously bad happened to my car today" game. My current ride is a Pontiac Vibe and the Spectra5 seems very similar. I think the Optima may already have the new 2.4 (all aluminum with timing chain) engine. Anyone know when Spectras are getting the 2.0 version????

They already did back in 2004.5. The Beta II engine will outrun the Vibe.

But I clearly saw a plastic timing belt cover, and the world engines all have timing chains which use cast aluminum covers (I was a mechanic for 15 years,so I know what I'm talking about here)
