These days, when somebody says Porsche is a giant killer, you think they're talking about the world of finance. Porsche's recent takeover of Volkswagen is surely a far more amazing story of corporate balance sheets than all the news from Detroit that fills the news headlines. I had the extreme pleasure of an extended test drive in a new RS 60 Spyder. It's true about power difference between it and the Boxster S is negligible. There is a huge difference between the non S and the Boxster S. I have driven all 3. The car ran great. The engine and exhaust sounded wonderful. The Spyder does have a different exhaust, that's where the extra HP come in. It sounds great and there is a button that opens some valves in the muffler for even sweeter sounds. I wish I had the money to buy it when I drove it. It sold the following week.
