it started out fun, stocks went up and down, now they just go down, and down, and down.......lame.

You could short or you could buy if you think some stocks will go back up based on some players day-trading stocks for short-term profits.
 
Many stocks have been going down, because in the first few weeks of game play the market became wildly inflated -- people bought out of sheer enthusiasm for the vehicles with no regard for price as it relates to vehicle sales forecasts.
 
I expect the market to continue to drop somewhat, but we'll see. It's been fairly unpredictable so far.

i might as well start a new account and start over because i was up 200 grand, then dropped below a mil. maybe ill do that for tomorrows IPO.

You cannot have more than one account in CSX. Technically, you could create one, but we state in our registration agreement that it's against the rules, so it could make you ineligible for prizes, etc.
 
Remember this too -- this is month #1 of the game. Even if you have disappointing returns now, you could continue to build for the future and be in competition for future months' prizes, etc. Play around with the game and see how it tends to work. Watch the market and get a sense for what's happening on a daily and weekly basis and adjust your play from there.
