So...I short a stock at $517 and exit at $482. It was considered a loss. What's up w/ that? This is not a new concept to me, am I missing something? When you short, you WANT the stock to go lower. That's what it did. It went lower. So why is that concidered a loss? Glitch? Or did I have have a brain fart?

I like the annonymous reference to "a stock" at $517. Listen buddy, we're all friends here, you can say you lost money on the Corolla, we won't think less of you. You shorted the stock at $517 and covered it at $518 ($1,000 - $482 = $518). You need to look at inverse pricing when you short.

Is there any reason to "hide" anything on here? No. It's not for real. So I couldn't give a hooping funt. I just couldn't remember which stock I was into, had just signed up and was just feeling things out. If ya wanted to know which one it was, I figured you would be smart enough to figure it out. Good job!!! A+ I'm so proud of you...friend.
For real though, thanks. Next time I'll try to be more specific so you can easily follow along and not have to do any leg work...just didn't want to spend the time getting that in depth last night before I was trying to go to bed when the info just wasn't needed to solve the problem.
Have a good day...friend (auditt311). May you make lots of imaginary money!

Laying that sarcasm on a little thick HK. Keep your USP in its holster.
