Future Vehicles Kia Koup Concept...The free ride is over Honda!

Dare I say it...Kia Koup Concept, what the Honda Civic Si shoulda been! You guys don't understand, I'mma diehard Honda fan...but all I can say is DAMN!!! The competition is gettin' fierce! These lesser known, long-time regarded as "generic", car companies aren't rollin' over anymore. They are steppin' their game up and bringin' the heat! First, Hyundai brings the Genesis Sedan and Coupe (both of which I would buy in a heart beat, now Kia....DAMN!!! This is gonna change the game forever. Honda's been dropping the ball lately with alot of their new debuts, they better get on it quick, cuz there might be some new brands sittin' at the top of the hill.

Korea is recognized as the design center of Asia, in terms of clothing (really neat clothing designs!), so why not cars also? It's not unimaginable that Korea could become the rough equivalent to Asia what Italy is to Europe. Scion and MINI had better look over their shoulders too. |

Replying to: acura23cl (Mar 20, 2008 6:20 pm) In the 80s Honda and Toyota basically sold econobox FWD cars that were higher quality, cheaper price and better on gas than the American cars on the market. In the 00s we are seeing Hyundai and Kia doing to H/T what H/T did to the Big 3 in the 80s. It's definitely a good thing. -mike |

and I just wanted to point out that the Kia Koup is one of Peter Schreyer's new designs. Peter Schreyer is the new design Chief at Kia. He came to Kia from Audi Motors. You will see a bit of Audi in his designs, naturally. But he's designed a concept Coupe called the Kia Kee that I think some of you might like, too.  I wonder if Kia will replicate that two-part sweep across headlamp when they produce the car for real's. Interesting look for headlights and a beautiful new Coupe, I mean Koup, design from Kia Motors.
