Nope, no way around it. There are, of course two types of keys, Alarm controllers and standard transponder keys. Both have transponders, and requore programming. The dealer has to program them. If you have the alarm controller key for the LT model, you are looking at $148 for the key, then $45 for programming it. I have read in other forums that someone has programmed it his/herself, however, I don't trust it. Best to do the right thing, even though it may suck, to go out of pocket the $200 for the key. |

Replying to: luckins (Mar 15, 2008 6:32 am) next put a key that is programmed to the car in the ignition turn to run but do not start wait about two seconds and turn off and take it out put your new key in and start the car it should now be programmed make sure you do all of this quickly as timing is important if you are too slow it will go out of programming mode |
