I am wondering how many IPOs we will get next week.

That is being determined now. Originally, we planned to go w/ one per week, but the demand (understandably) is through the roof, so we'll have to look at offering more.
I'll update everyone later this week.

I think the '09 Dodge Ram should be included. It is going to be a very high volume vehicle. The market might be moving away from trucks as a whole. However, there will always be a base of people who need them for work. It would be interesting to apply the concept of a predictive market to a currently changing segment.
#5 of 8 IPO Effects
Mar 11, 2008 (10:21 am)
From what I can tell, it seems the IPOs only drove up prices across the board. Everyone abandoned their shorts.
I'm shocked the RL only got up to $59. I imagine more peeps will buy as the day goes on, though.
Can you guys really have enough vehicles to release 3 per week? I can't imagine there being enough vehicles to last until the end of May.

We may do 3 a week. It might be less. We are also considering adding other commodities to the game, but that will require more thought and development time.
We have almost 70 vehicle stocks in the wings, so we should have enough to get us to the summer -- even if we release more than 1 per week.
#7 of 8 March 18th IPO

Any rough idea of number of IPOs and time to be released?

We may only go with one this coming week, but I'll confirm by Monday a.m. PT. One of the reasons for this is that we will know more about the Acura TSX after the New York Auto Show, which we cover on March 19-20. Once we have some more coverage on the TSX, we can push it out as an IPO.
We're going to shoot for 10:00am - 10:30am PT again this Tuesday.
