Well, the X6 and RL prices have already soared out of control. $65 for a car forecast to sell only 6,500. There is no way Acura will move 65,000 RL. They need to revise the stock value formulas, when a stock hits the street everyone wants to buy it which is driving the price up.

To be fair, the same thing tends to happen when real stocks go IPO as well, although not quite to this degree.
Currently there is a vast shortage of car stocks, so that is determining price more than anything at the moment.

Interesting - I agree that adding more stock would reduce the pressure on the prices and they would likely come down. Stocks tied to different types of forecasts would be intriguing as well.

I disagree. It's just spreading out the shorters, not the buyers. Every stock went up in price (some dramatically) when the IPO frenzy was going on.

You can trade weather futures on the CME. If you lose tons, don't come blaming me.
