Hi again Mike. Go to Google and type in "Edmunds Town Hall 2009 Murano Transmission" You should see the top link is what you are looking for. Since you are already a registered member of this blog, you should be able to go right in. Interesting reading.......... Steve

I had seen those remarks but if I'm not mistaken they do not talk about the 2009 Murano or am I missing something someplace? While I only had 21,500 on my 2005 Murano I never had any tranny problems. I'll let you and everybody in the world know about it...LOL....Michael

Hi again MIKE. I did a lot more reading last nite and this morning and discovered something very interesting. A lot of the posts do refer to the 09 Murano and a lot of them do refer to 04-05-07 models. Here is the interesting point. After counting over 50 posts in Edmunds and Yahoo and Motor Trend ( I subscribe), over 95% of the Muranos mentioned were AWD models.
I'm not Dick Tracy or a Lead Murano Mechanic, but this would lead me to believe there might be something wrong with the Intuitive AWD mechanics or the controlling soft-wear. As of right now I'm glad I ordered the SL-FWD.. All for now.... Steve

You're depressing me Steve...mine is AWD...LOL
#61 of 86 iPhone video on SL AWD without Nav system
by hapeeowner

I purchased a cable from Apple to connect my red-white-yellow audio/video ports to my iPhone and the sound/music works through my Aux selection but I can not get any video to play on the screen. I thought it was because of not having the Nav option but there is obviously a display screen there for the back-up camera but no video from my iPhone. I connected the cable to a TV and it works there so it isn't the cable. Any words of advice?

Hi Mike.........Don't want to depress you, so consider this. Since inception Nissan has sold 03-04 Murano 81000 units 05-06-07 a little over 100,000 units each year. The total is about 390,000 units. I'm sure at least 95% of those Muranos had no trouble at all. Besides all those moaners and groaners probably don't know enough to put air in their tires. Steve.....

Do you get a message saying "Video will resume when the car is stopped," or something like that? If yes, put the vehicle in Park and apply the parking brake.

You have to depress the parking brake first, screen will only play when the car is in park and the parking brake depressed.

Yep I got the DVD with the new 09 Murano SL AWD. I would say while its interactive and idiot-box format (all you do is listen and watch), the PDF format manual is much better to educate yourself correctly!
#66 of 86 Canadians have more Voice & Phone function?
by jayhawk70

Reading the manual on our 3 day old Murano SL AWD, I noticed that the Canadian Voice Response system appears to have a lot more voice commands (in the Alternate Commands) than the US cars. And the Phonebook in the Canadian cars can have 4 phones per named entry (home, cell, office, other) that we 'Mericans don't get. (haven't tested this yet - my wife won't let me have the car!
Not really a big deal to me, but I find it curious. Anyone know why?
