I have had a great relationship with my Nissan Dealer in Vero Beach FL. for 7 seven years now. I purchased a new 2004, 2006, and now a new 2009 Murano from him. I guess I'm pretty lucky because I deal directly with the owner. He has taken my suggestion, and now ultimately your's also, and trained six different salesperson to be a specialist in different Nissan models. i.e. Murano-Altima-Z-Armada-etc. He says it is working out rather well. Getting information out of "Nissan Consumer Help" is like getting tax relief from the IRS. Forget it. I have been trying for the last 6 years and all I get back is their standard computer generated response. I get more info and help from a blog like this and from gentlemen like Brad than any other source. Steve... Computer stuff isn't that hard, just follow the instructions and if you accidently screw up, don't fret. That why they put the BACK BUTTON there !!! Good Luck.....

I know this isn't the correct "Town Hall" site because Edmunds' Town Hall has another blog for other situations; but are any of you new 2009 Murano Ownwers having transmission trouble. i.e. hesitating or jerking? I just read about 5-6 bitter complaints today. Maybe I shouldn't buy just yet. Steve

Steve, I just have about 120 miles on it so far but I haven't noticed anything with the tranny yet. I'll let you know if I do .

I have about 3,200 on my 2009 and no problems with tranny or any other aspect of the Murano.

Hi Mike, I have been in this hotel room working off my laptop for 49 days now. I can't give you the exact url because I wonder around the Murano blogs a lot, not paying particular attention. I Think it was Edmunds Town Hall, but when I find it again I will let you know for sure. Steve

I had seen those remarks but if I'm not mistaken they do not talk about the 2009 Murano or am I missing something someplace? While I only had 21,500 on my 2005 Murano I never had any tranny problems. I'll let you and everybody in the world know about it...LOL....Michael

Hi again MIKE. I did a lot more reading last nite and this morning and discovered something very interesting. A lot of the posts do refer to the 09 Murano and a lot of them do refer to 04-05-07 models. Here is the interesting point. After counting over 50 posts in Edmunds and Yahoo and Motor Trend ( I subscribe), over 95% of the Muranos mentioned were AWD models.
I'm not Dick Tracy or a Lead Murano Mechanic, but this would lead me to believe there might be something wrong with the Intuitive AWD mechanics or the controlling soft-wear. As of right now I'm glad I ordered the SL-FWD.. All for now.... Steve
