With all the talk of hybrids and auto-makers ongoing commitments to creating eco-friendly vehicles, Dodge is proud to introduce to you their first volume production hybrid; the 2009 Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid. The Dodge Durango HEMI Hybrid, available this fall, utilizes the most technologically advanced two-mode hybrid powertrain – jointly developed by Chrysler, Daimler, GM and BMW. This marks the first of Dodge’s efforts at providing fuel efficient vehicle technology. So what does this mean for you? It’s all about doing more with less - which is why you’ll get 40 percent greater fuel efficiency in the city, 25% overall… and 100 percent of Dodge SUV power, capability, and comfort. The Durango HEMI Hybrid touts an estimated 385 horsepower and an impressive towing capability at 6,000 lbs. Plus, you’ll get seating for 8 and best-in-class* cargo capacity behind the 2nd row. This hybrid technology is designed specifically in this case to provide better fuel economy without sacrificing “real” SUV capability, and will likely serve as a template for future hybrid powertrain design in the automotive industry. If you are interested in checking it out for yourself, the vehicle is now featured on the main site at http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/durango_hybrid/ and on the Red Letter Dodge blog located at http://www.redletterdodge.com/. As always, I will be around to answer any of your questions. Thanks, Will Dodge Online Dialogue Representative *Based on 2007 Automotive News classification.
