Has anyone installed a cold air intake on there truck? I'm driving a 2007 Denali XL and have read that the CAI adds about 20hp and gives you better gas mileage. I've also read some debate over the K&N filter messing up the Mass Air Sensor from the oil on the actual filter getting on to the sensor. The GM version of the cold air intake has a metal intake "tube" but the other manufactures intakes use non-metallic rotationally molded tubes that can reduce intake air temperature and decrease intake sound over a metal tube. The whole purpose behind the intake is to use free flowing cooler air because colder air is denser. I'm also wondering how the Cadillac Escallade gets the extra HP? I'm suspecting it's the exhaust.

My Denali eats Escalades for dinner! Plus in a Denali your less likely to be mistaken by the cops as a drug dealer.

Brew, Did you use the tune that came with the Diablo, or did you get a tune from someone else, then load it on the Diablo? I am asking because I have a SCT II tuner for my mustang GT, but I bought my tunes from someone who wrote them for my engine code and upgrades, like the CAI. I have an 07 Yukon Denali, and want more form it. I see what a tune did for my stang. Holy crap!!! It's like driving a different car!! Thanks, and let me know.

I have searched and searched, but I have yet to find any custom tunes for it. So, it looks like I will just use the one that comes with it. You see, with the Mustang, the tune changes for any mods you might have. So, I don't know if it will affect it when I add the cold air intake or not. We'll see!! I know what you mean about the lag. sucks. But, it sure is alot better than my Infiniti QX56!!
