While test driving a CTS today, my wife asked about access to the gas cap. We were told you just open the lid from the outside. Is there no inside access for security or some way to lock the gas cap. Replying to: fglamser (Feb 23, 2008 5:57 pm) I just bought my 08 cts and I was really surprised to learn ( when I went to buy gas the first time) that anyone can access my gas tank. GM missed this one, even a honda cicic has a remote lid release. That is just about the only thing I can find tio complain about. It is an absolutely wonderful car. Replying to: fglamser (Feb 23, 2008 5:57 pm) As high as Gas prices are...I havent heard of one tank being drained of it's gas......if your parked in a neghborhood that bad...chances are they will steal the whole car before ever syphoning the tank:)   Personally I think the whole locking gas tank lid thing is just a P.I.A. to reach for and have to do in the first place. Replying to: jgaffney1 (Mar 25, 2008 11:24 am) I have had my audi for 3 years and just found out the gas lid locks when I lock the car maybe this is true on the CTS.
