Seats: Crimped feeling on upper legs... by 0311vn

I just rented an Aura. After about two hours my legs began to take on that long airplane coach seat feeling. The 'beveled' like edges seemed to make the driver's seat too narrow which made for an uncomfortable drive at times.

I'm guessing seats in many cars now have that raised beveled edge on both sides in order to help keep the the driver and front passenger in place during a collision. Curious if leather seats on the Aura are more forgiving. I drive a Ford Focus that has a similar seat issue but it is not as pronounced as the Aura. I'm also curious is there are seat options and if some folks replace seats in Auras and other models with more comfortable after market seats.

I know the feeling, but I just lower the front of the seat till that bolstered edge is below my thighs. I don't know if the car you drove had the leather seats with electrical adjustment (and heat ) or the manual cloth seats.

The leather seats can be raised and lowered in the front, back, up, down, etc. etc.
I have driven 10 continuous hours, with stops for fuel, with only minor discomfort after about 8 of them.
