I have two questions. My wife and I really like the Volvo S60. Our mechanic says Volvo parts are expensive. Do you agree with this, and have you experienced the need for much repair work, or have you been impressed with its reliability? Secondly, is there much of a difference between the 2002 and 2004 S60 engines? Thanks for your time and comments.

oil change cost about $45 at the dealership. A little less with a coupon. Just got front brake pads changed for $240 at dealership after 39,000 miles. Just replaced radiator for the SECOND time in two years. It was under warranty and didn't cost me anything. Car drives great. Seats are comfortable. In my opinion.... car is finicky. Turning radius SUCK. Good luck. |

Replying to: lizian (Feb 22, 2008 5:46 pm) sorry. This was my second Volvo and hoped to be a life long customer. As a knowledgeable mechanic and tech, my criticism is credible. I still drive our S60, but it will be my last Volvo. Chuck P. Sacramento CA |

If it is a good buy, should I get extended warranty? If extended warranty, any recommendations? Thx, Duke |
