Many years ago I owned a 1967 Chevrolet C20 pickup that had coil springs in the rear, and along with them the longest control arms I have ever seen! In that year the leaf spring suspension was optional and was the preferred setup. Having driven several with rear leafs, I can see why. The coil suspensions were sloppy and weak. I can't say they rode better, either. The new RAM coil set up looks like a far better design. Of course, in my opinion anyone that buys a truck and expects it to ride like a car, should buy...a car.
