I know this has been covered in different ways in other discussions, but after searching for over an hour, I haven't found the answer to my specific problem. My 2000 GTP has the automatic climate control. I have owned it for almost two years. I noticed that if I left the heat on when I shut the car off, it would take a minute for the blower to come on. Also, sometimes when the heat was off and I started the car, the blower would be on at a low setting. Turning the heat/AC off then on or on then off again would cause i to function normally. I have never owned a newer car like this, so I thought it was normal. A few months ago, the blower started not coming on for about 5 minutes even though the heat was turned on. At the same time I noticed a lot of water on my passenger side floor. I fixed the leak in the cowel over the blower motor. With in a week, the blower wouldn't come on at all. I want to fix this, but defintely don't have the money to start buying $100-$200 parts to throw at it until it is fixed. I already pulled the blower motor and tested it on a bench. I confirmed that the blower motor is working just fine. I have read on here that it could be the blower motor control module, in-dash control or the ignition wiring. My question is, how can I test these things so I can change just the part that is bad and not play guessing games with it? Thanks for an help, my girlfriend and our kids would really appreciate it if I can fix this soon. It is about 10*F right now and won't warm up here until May-June.
