Replying to: accordguy0325 (Jun 02, 2009 6:31 pm) If its before you've driven the car at speed, its probably your ABS self-test. In my 06 Accord EX, it does the self-check at 4 mph or so. Makes a mix of a grinding noise and a burping noise, for less than a second. It does this the first time you go past 4 mph after each startup.

"   This is exactly what I hear. My 2003 never had this, but the 09 is every time I shift into Drive and push the pedal. It happens in the morning or even after driving for a bit. Granted it is louder when it has not been driven for several hours. Does not sound normal, and I can not figure out why it would do that.   It also sounds a bit different than the ABS comment just above. Replies to this message: temj12 (Jun 04, 2009 9:56 pm)
