Replying to: realitybased (Feb 10, 2008 12:10 pm) I think Freightliner still is since Daimler/Benz wants to continue to be the largest truck manufacturer in the world. There would be all the same options at Freightliner, but they might not be called the same thing... cold climate is a specialty of the Sprinter... Aux. Heaters(air & water)/heater timers/block heater/insulation package/at-rest heat scavenging. All dealers (that have Sprinter sales) should have a qualified mechanic, but this is still spotty. Many dealers seem to have one, who may still be training or is a single point of failure in the process of repair... If he's on vacation you can't get a repair, diagnosis, or straight answer. I am just guessing, but it appears that the Sprinter tech is most likely working on other models, and only concentrates on Sprinters AFTER he is done with other assignments... that may have changed now that many more Sprinters are wracking up the miles here in the US. Thanks, KenB
