2000 w/3.8, 112000 miles, runs very rough when accelerating under a load. Also runs very rough in neutral at 4000 rpm. The engine rpm will not increase from 4000 no matter how much throttle is applied and only runs rougher. There is a faint whistle at 4000 rpm. Any ideas what to look for? Replying to: davesunday (Feb 09, 2008 5:05 pm) Check the catalytic converter...they've been known to clog and cause problems with acceleration on these vehicles.
