Hello, I am waiting delivery on a 2008 standard roof cargo Sprinter. I am aware of the Sprinter redesign in 2007/2008 and know they do not have the typical rain gutters at the roof.Does anyone here have a new Sprinter with ladder racks? How were they mounted? I was told by a rack manufacturer to wait and make sure my model had "roof rails" on the top (not the typical type found in pre 2007 models.
What are these "rails" and have you used them to secure ladder racks?

I have a 2008 Sprinter, and it has the roof rails. They are mounted to the top of the roof like you would see on an SUV. They do make ladder racks for them. Adrian steel carries 3 different styles.
