#1 of 5 Can a BMW go for over a million miles?

It has been a long time goal of mine to have a car go over the million mark. Do you think the BMW 5 series either the E39 or newer model would be the car to try to do it in? Or do you think the 3 series could do it? Or what about the X5?

Personally I'd believe that a 6-Cylinder version of either the E39 (say a 530i) or E46 (say a 330i) could make the million mile mark, especially if it had a manual transmission and you changed the oil at least evey 10,000 miles.

Yes, you can take the badge and fling it a million miles into the ether.
Just drove a late model (I think 2009) BMW 5 series sedan. Quality has slid downhill from years past...this is how to make profits? The leather didn't even fit properly. It looked and felt like it didn't fit on the top of the seat and had a pretty sizeable gap against the edge where it looked like it was too big for the foam or whatever it is beneath it.
Unacceptable in a $45K+ car.
You can take any car to that kind of mileage if you keep replacing parts after all. Even a
