As I know, most of deal starts from invoice price or slight above the invoice price.
But based on your deal, I think you forgot the $2000 off of marketing support.
It would be around $37,000.

If you are leasing the car, it is not available for that. So, I think leasing...
$2000 off for buying the car.

Check it out again.

Hi, does anyone know whether current month's $2000 back to dealer offer will still be valid next month? I am in Boston area, talked with some dealers, though none of them like to comment, I got a feeling that such promotion will last. How do you guys think?

The lease offer I got is
money factor: 0.00106
residual value: 53% (15K/year), 54%(12K), 55%(15k)
term: 39 month

One dealer said he could apply the $2000 off to lease, another dealer said he can only consider $2000 offer if i purchase.

waltaz, I am surprised that they gave you 67% residual for the initial 15k miles on 24 months. The data you published earlier shows only 63% residual for 15k. and that is the number my local dealer shows me. He is prepared to go to 64% for 12k.

FWIW, I leased last week and also got 64%/.00025 for 12K/24mos (EX35 RWD), in S. Florida.

I got the impression from the Infiniti Financial web site that the dealers are allowed to play with the numbers:

"You and the dealer determine the interest rate on your contract. The dealer may earn
additional income when your contract interest rate is higher than the rate the finance
company is willing to accept.
• You may negotiate the interest rate on your contract with the dealer and the
terms for payment, just as you negotiate the price of the car. This negotiation
can occur before or after the dealership accepts and processes your credit application."

but the number in question is the residual, not interest rate. Dealers can't play with the residual (at least, that's what I've repeatedly been told here on these boards).

Is this a good deal? by palleg33

Just returned from the dealer and drove the ex35 and fx35. I was surprisingly impressed with the interior look and drive of the EX35 but didn't care for the size. However the lease prices on the FX35 were a little high.

Here is my deal:

EX35AWD With Nav, Premium, roof rails, splash guards

MSRP-42025
Selling Price- 38950
MF-.001060
Residual-53%
39months
15k
2000.00 out of pocket total
516.00 per month

The FX35 was pricing in the 600-650 range for a similar package even though it is due for a redesign. I though I would get a better deal on the FX but I now need to consider the EX. Is it worth this.
Comparing it to an RDX with same features for 503 a month/36mos but only 1000.00 down total.

By the way,

The deal above included 585.00 in Inception Fees which I sort of understand but also a 595.00 Assignment Fee ???

And they charged me 9% tax in PA which I thought was 6%.

Any help is much appreciated

My Residual Amount by waltaz

Yes, I believe they made a mistake. I am well aware of the IFS residual factors and had done lots of research and numerous calculation. When we agreed on the price and they wrote up the deal, they had the 67% residual as a starting point, then took off $600 for my extra 3K miles/year (I went with 18K/year). I didn't say anything, and it was written up and went through Finance as such.

The difference to me is just over $100/month from getting the higher residual. I'll take it.
