Yes- my wife put the gun to my head. After a month of driving it around, she now agrees w/me. I like Infiniti's, they're nice cars, but we should of purchased an Acura or Honda, they're designed better.

It your money...you choose.

It's too bad you didn't take the time to research the car before you bought it. I drove many cars, and a number of EXs at different dealerships before I decided to purchase one. I was lucky enough to drive one that a friend had leased, too, so got to drive on the freeway and without the pressure that a salesman can put out sitting beside you as you test drive. The car is perfect for me. I am single, and occasionally have guests who spill over into the back. No one has complained. All my friends love my car, and want me to drive when we car pool somewhere. It's fun, and fast, and unique. The lines are beautiful, so it is a delight on the eyes as well. Depending upon my driving habits my mileage varies; it's up to me to get the best I can. I do not commute, so am fortunate to be able to plan "no car" days into my week where I only walk. I am a caterer, and formerly drove a Subaru Outback. I have been pleasantly surprised to be able to fit lots more equipment and materials when catering a party than I thought I would. The hatch back is so large I was able to load an entire bathroom sink cabinet in there, and the guy from Home Depot who assisted me was shocked, saying the cargo area was as large as his Jeep Cherokee. And I take lots more road trips now, the car is a dream out on the open road. The only cars that dare pass me are Porsches and Priuses, ha ha...it is my favorite car of my live, and I have no regrets. When spending that amount of money it only pays to take more time to decide what you want rather than to make an impulse buy.

I get the wife thing.... Sometimes, it doesn't matter about research, negotiating, etc, etc..

She wants what she wants..

But, if it's her car (mostly), I'd learn to keep your feelings to yourself about the vehicles supposed shortcomings... maybe, she'll get to used to it!

It's only been a month... The EX does have some outstanding attributes.... gobs of power is one of them...

i was doubled talked when I put a d/p on this car, had time to re-think..and never wound up buying one. A month or so later, I bought the FX35. Best car Ive ever owned. Im glad that deal never went thru. I wouldve hated that car. No offense to current owners.

Also, compared to some of the aforementioned vehicles (MDX, CRV) I personally like the way my EX looks in comparison. Cars tend to be an expression of one's personality, and of course, everyone is different, but despite the lack of back seat legroom and some blind spot issues, I'm still enjoying this crossover. Incidentally, I'm getting about 21 MPG combined city/highway.

While I am sure there are some people that fell instantly in love with the EX and that feeling and overall satisfaction stuck with them from that point on, I think this car also can really grow on you in time. In fact, it may need the time to grow on you.

I was initially excited and then, shortly after that, a bit concerned. But now, after giving it some time, I really like it. I think it's a car that really takes getting used to and comfortable with. Remember, not everyone is used to a crossover and this is an oddly shaped crossover at that.

First, give the MPG a chance. The first month or so of the car I saw 16-18 MPG, but now, after driving the car for 6 months, my average is 21 MPG and holding completely steady. And I live in the city and do lots of city driving. The visibility was a big concern for me, as was the overall driving position and feel of being in and driving the car. It does feel bubbly and it is really hard to grasp where the car begins and ends physically. Even though the EX is smaller, I found it harder to parallel park the car (which I do often living in the city) than I did with my old sedan. But, after having the car for 6 months, I've gotten used to it and the cons have faded away considerably. It really took a while for me to get used to the car, but I did. I now make accommodations for the visibility issues and do those little things without even thinking. I use the big mirrors, I use the rear view camera, I twist my head, and sometimes I have to up and peak over or around those darn big mirrors or start my turn prep early.

Overall, I love so much about the car, but do wish they had designed it a bit better. No car is perfect though. There's a long line of people who would never buy the FX for its "quirks" and design, as with many other brands and models. This car is so so comfortable (I just got back from a long trip), has a great engine, is fun to drive and sporty, has lots of comfort conveniences/luxuries, is good looking and elegant, is not everywhere, should have super reliability, and I really love the flexibility and utility of the fold down seats and hatchback. Those things make me glad I bought the car. Oh, how could I forget, the PRICE!!!!

Yep, though, visibility (and related issues) is my biggest complaint.

I agree the car grows on you. I like it much more than I thought I would. The Around View Monitor really helps with parking. I really haven't been bothered by the blind spots, my previous daily driver was a Honda van so the big mirrors work for me.

For us in Dallas, this is one our best selling vehicles. The EX has been outselling the G Convertible, the FX50, the M45 and matches our sales of the FX35, M35, and QX56 month in and month out - we love this car!

In Texas, assuming average miles and RWD - one should get around $27k + 1k with Navigation.
