msticks, my math is correct!!! Sales tax in Washington is 9%. What I am trying to tell all of you is I got the car for $35,375 (not including tax and registration etc.) and hope this will help your negotiation. Math is not the issue here!!! State tax and registration varies in each state. You can do you own math.

I was not aware there was a rebate. Did you actually get a rebate check? The 2 cash incentives right now are the $5000 and another $500 Loyalty Cash incentive for current Infiniti customers. How were you able to get the $500 too if you were not trading in an Infiniti?
The reason I ask is because I am negotiating a deal right now on a new EX35 and trading in my FX35 and jjst want to make sure I have as much information as possible to help in my negotiating.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Here is the offer on the table from the dealer as of right now.

$5500 under Invoice for a 2008 RWD EX35 with Premium, Nav. Roof Rack, Cargo Protector, Splash Guards.
5% interest rate for 60 months through Infiniti.
Has anyone done better than this? It would be good to know because I would use the info as leverage to get an even better deal, as l'm not done negotiating yet.

Thanks

I finalized the deal yesterday. We are now the proud owners of a new EX35.

MSRP $40,975 (RWD Journey, Premium, Nav, Crossbars, Splash Guards, Cargo Protector.)
Invoice $37,455
Less $5000 dealer incentive
Less $500 loyalty incentive
Less another $155
Purchase price $31,800

Traded 2006 FX35 with 48,000 miles on it for $21,500. The KBB Excellent condition top dollar trade value on the FX35 was $21,850. They took $350 off that trade figure because it needed front tires soon.

In AZ we save sales tax on the entire trade in value, so I saved $1720 in sales tax by trading in. Only other cost was registration (plates). A whopping $600 here in AZ.

Interest rate is 4.99% for 60 months. They would have given me this rate up to 72 months at this rate, but I declined and kept it at 60.

New EX For Me by djdvine

Well, after doing quite a bit of research, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a new EX today. Details:

EX35 Journey RWD
Black Exterior / Graphite Interior With Maple Wood
Premium Package
Splash Guards
Roof Rails
Cargo Protector
--------------------
MSRP: $39,325.00
Invoice: $36,041.00
MY PRICE BEFORE TAX TITLE LICENSE FEES, ETC.. $31,241.00 (Actually, this included a $200 delivery fee...talked them down from a $800 start point on that)

TOTAL PRICE after all tax title license fees, etc..$33,870.71

Note: This was purchased in San Diego, CA, and I secure my own fnancing BEFORE going to the dealership...and didn't say anything about a trade in. I was thinking about nav system, but I dont like not being able to use it while driving, so I'm just going to go get a portable one somewhere.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the service I received. Really nice, non pushy salesman / sales manager...they stayed late to help me out. I feel I got a pretty good deal, and really that's what matters in the end.

A dealership in CA told me today that they are thinking April and supposedly, there isn't really a change

Looks like they worked from the invoice price, then passed along the $5000 incentive, then added $200 back in for the "delivery charge". There should not be a delivery charge unless they had to transport your car from another dealership in another city that was far enough away where they had to flatbed the vehicle to transport it.

I am curious about the interest rates in your market compared to Phoenix. I got 4.99% from Chase for 60 months, as I noted in my post a couple days ago. What interest rate did you get and how long was the term?
