Incentive on EX by carjim

A footnote says the information source is Automotive News and Edmunds. Under the column heading of "Dealer Incentives" the EX is listed.
It reads, "2008 models. Expires June 30. EX35, FX45: $2,000-$3000. Programs may vary by region and model."
Does anyone know where to find which "regions" offer this?
I'm watching for a lowered finance percent, too.

I have been reading these forums to try and get my next car by the end of the month. I went to three Infiniti dealers and here is the best offer on identical EX's.

White/Wheat, Premium pkg, Wood pkg.
MSRP = $38,475
Out the door all taxes and fees = $37,500

Thoughts?????

well, even with taxes that isn't a good price. It sounds like the dealer is keeping all of the dealer cash. if it isn't AWD, you should be invoicing around $35. Even if your taxes were $2500 the dealer is still making $2000 from Infiniti plus any hold backs.

close, but not quite. (maybe, possibly)

It is RWD with that MSRP. Syrah, I can't quite come up with your MSRP. RWD with premium and wood comes out to $38,265, according to Edmunds.

Your tax rate is very important here.

But, using mine (7%), and using my invoice of $35,102 minus $750 of that $2k rebate, I come up with $36489.14. Tax, title, and fees are typically in the $600-$800 neighborhood here in NJ. That all adds up to roughly your $37,500 OTD price.

Obviously, this can vary based on your tax and fees. So if you want to know if its a good price, we'll need to know what the price is before those extras are added on.

Well, that dealer fee is absurd. My goal would be invoice minus $1300, personally. And that takes dealer fee (also called doc fee) into account. So whether than is invoice minus $1800 and then the $500 dealer fee or whatever combination of numbers. The end result is what you are after.

I still can't quite hit your number. On edmunds, with those options, its $38,565. But its possible a $100 increase took place and edmunds shows the new numbers while the unit the dealer has is older and has the older MSRP.

In any case, without knowing for sure, I can only assume the invoice on that unit is also $100 lower. So that would make it $35,235. Subtract the $2k dealer cash and you are at $33,235. As I said, my goal is typically $500 over. I think that's fair. But doc fees in my area are typically $199. So that's a total of $700 for the dealer. Since your dealer fee is so high, then that comes off the offer for the car, bringing your offer to $33,435, or about $1300 less than they are offering now.

7% tax...good god I'm sorry...I thought 3.5% was bad. I'll concur with the other poster, you should be shooting for under invoice. I'm a little more agressive in that I'd go for all of the dealer cash and negotiate up to a pain point they can stand.

I live in the greater Philadelphia area. Have settled on a EX35 AWD Journey, white/wheat leather, premium package, navigation package, roof rails and a cargo protector - MSRP $41,635. Recieved an internet quote from a local dealer of $35,800 (this includes the $2K April offer). Thoughts???

Got a lease price on EX35 AWD Journey with Nav., Premium, Wood and Roofrails. here's the deal: All taxes and fees included in lease plus the last $1200 of my previous lease; 39mo/12k a year. In NY - 8.625% sales tax - $511/mo. Supposedly this includes the $2000 rebate. Is this good?

I'm shopping around and comparing eh EX with the Murano (I know, but he price diffferential is significant and a lot of the same tech). Anyway, I just received what seemed to be a good price on an EX with all I wanted:
Journey AWD (Black & Stone) + Premium + Navigation + Roof rails & cross bars + cargo protector: Sticker $42,025 Sales price (good until the end of the month): $37,896. Anyone done better?
