Is it really necessary to use a torque wrench to tighten the wheel nuts every time you change/rotate a wheel - 2007 Santa Fe?

i would - you should know the proper torque and tighten the lug nuts accordingly - if too loose you could have a wheel fall off - if too tight you could warp the brake rotors and it makes it tough to get the wheels of for the next service....

65-80 lb-ft, according to hmaservice.com. This seems like a wide range, but I'm no expert. I told my mechanic to use 75.
