I've towed a 1500 lb camper coast to coast 3 times without a problem (other than 15 MPG while towing). Towing 3500 lbs you can expect less (12 or 13 mpg if you keep the speed at 65 or lower). I just recently purchased a 93, but I could not find in the owners manual the 5000 pound towing capacity you mentioned. I wonder if we have the same owners manual. What page did you locate that information? I was hoping to tow a 3100 pound trailer with it, but all I keep finding is the towing capacity of 7000 pounds with the trailer towing package. Mine does not have this. I even contacted Cadillac and they still haven't got back to me on this.
