Good Afternoon. I'm looking for real world information on any performance mods that can be made on the 2.7Ltr 4-banger. I've got a 98 4Runner, 4cyl, auto tranny, 2wd. Great truck but I'm interested in improving it's power output and have heard of several mods to include the K&N air intake kit (or the deckplate mod), Exhaust header + mandrel bent cat back exhaust system with low restriction cat. Any ideas/suggestions out there? Would eventually like to take this truck desert racing but that is a few years down the road yet. Also, has anyone heard of a turbocharger setup for this truck? I'm genuinely interested in this so no BS please. Thanks in advance for your help guys!
