Also, from my experience, if you buy the TL and live in any kind of snow belt get snow tires. I went from the OEM Bridgestone-poor-in-the-snow EL42 tires to new even-worse-in-the-snow Toyo Versado all season tires. Just mounted Dunlop Wintersport M3 snows after really struggling through this record setting snowy December in Boston.   Only you can decide if the TL is worth the extra $$$. And, with the current deals/incentives on the TL, is there that much of a price difference?   Research/drive both extensively, then decide. You'll choose wisely!

Replying to: ashley5 (Dec 28, 2007 5:05 pm) I own a 2007 Altima V6SE and my next door neighbor has the Acura TL '07. They are both very nice cars. We live in up state Michigan and just got hit with 10 inches of the white stuff. We both struggled with that much snow. I am on the stock tires, and would recommend a snow tire at least on the front if you travel in deep snow much. The stock tires (Bridgestones Protanza) actually do fairly well on icy roads. My car has stability and traction control and that helps a bit as well. I know both cars will hold value, but the TL will run you $5K more I believe. The Altima with the CVT tranny will get pretty good mileage and you don't HAVE to burn premium, mine runs fine on regular. I'd be willing to bet the Acura is more comfortable. I'm a big guy 5'10" and 230lbs. and fit well in the Altima seats, but I have heard others complain about the seats. If you went to an Acura forum you'd most likely get some folks ragging on their's too. Either car, you getting an excellent vehicle.

I just bought a 08 TL-S for just above the MSRP of a Altima SE. One of the turn-offs on the Altima was that the fully loaded 3.5 SE is difficult to distinguish from an entry level model. I have to wonder how that will affect resale in the long run. The only differences in the base TL is Nav or not and on the TL-S the transmission is the only difference. At least in the eyes of the average consumer, a fully loaded 3.5 SE would seem way overpriced from the onset. Time will tell. Both are good cars, but the Acura is a luxury car and I believe the dealer service is a notch better, at least in my experience with both sides(last car was a Maxima).
