Hello all,I own a 2000 Chevrolet conversion van done by A & J conversions.
I camp in it regularly.
I would like to modify the front seats to make them
swivel and face the rear of the cabin.
Can this modification be done legally?
Can it be done period?
My seats are currently electric, but I might be
willing to forgo that convenience for the increased
functionality that swivel seats would provide.
Thoughts?

Dont know about the mod, but the new Dodge Caravans and Chrysler T&C's have swivel seating. "Seat must be locked in forward or rearward mode while vehicle is in motion. Child restraints must only be used when seats are forward facing." As much as I resent minivans chipping away yet another conversion van selling point, the legal advice must certainly be applicable.
