I am thinking of getting a 2005 or above 330xi or Infiniti g35x. Has anyone any recommendations on what to look for buying a cpo bmw from a deal . Any known issues with bmw automatic tranny ?

Replying to: smartguy06 (Dec 21, 2007 6:44 pm) This is not quite apples to apples, as the 2006 engine had more pwer than the 2001, but I felt the 6 speed AT was more responsive and flexible, and it had better gearing for highway cruising- engine did not have to rev as high on the interstate. FWIW, I've seen many postings by owners of G35s (and M35s) noting that the Infiniti 5 speed AT is very responsive, but the car lacks an overdrive gear such that engine revs on the interstate are very noticeable.
