2006 PT Cruiser with 20,000 miles on it. Brake light came on and stays on all the time. In last 2 days, when I push on the break pedal, it's been getting worse & worse - have to push clear to the floor. No noises though. Any ideas what this could be?

I have a 2006 Cruiser base model convertible. I have a rear squaek and pulsation when slowing down. Only started after dealer worked on brakes. This is my second and LAST Cruiser. I found out last week the dealer was charging me for work he wasn't doing. Over $1,000.00 so far.
