I have a clunking noise in the front of my Mercury Sable 02 and I replaced the struts and the upper baring mounts but i still have the noise that sounds like its coming from the front of the car....anyone know what might be causing it? Replying to: danielj6 (Dec 23, 2007 3:21 pm) Ok, so i found out that it is the rack and pinion making the noise... do you know about how much that would cost to have replaced? my sable has been a real money pit ever since i got it, i'm in college and im sick and tired of spending money on my car.
