2009 Nissan GT-R vs. 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo
- Balance and body control of the GT-R are extraordinary through faster, bumpy bends that will have the 911 unsettled enough to make the driver lose confidence. I had a number of heart-in-mouth moments in the Turbo trying to keep up with the GT-R, even with the Porsche's suspension set to its harder Sport setting. (more)

Water on the track. Porsche can't drive the GT-R if they couldn't beat 7:50 with X number of wet corners.

Besides, Porsche is an unreputable source, and chronic liars.

You keep misinterpretting Horst's comments. He is saying that if he could do 7:50 in the wet, be believes the Nissan 7:38 time was more representative of what the car is capable of.

Cars go faster in the dry. Please don't try to rebut that claim again.

Actually, I would have to agree with you there. Porsche doesn't have any heritage of race winning over the last 40 years. They come out with a wonder car every 20 years and act like they can beat the world. Nissan however, has and always will be the benchmark that people look to.

Great point. Good post.

Forget manufacturer claims if you want to. Throw out Nissan's, throw out Porsche's, throw out GM and Dodge. Lets just take Horst von Saurma's times.

Even ruling out the conditions and tires they were tested on, Sport Auto went faster in the GT-R than the Turbo.

I have no idea how you can ignore so many facts. It is exactly as you say, in the last 20 years, Nissan has had four (4) GT-R chassis that were 911 beaters.

Which of these races were won with stock Porsches? I'm guessing few to none. Good point. Great post. Great job being wrong again.

I completely agree with you. Porsche is run by a bunch of liars and idiots who couldn't produce a decent vehicle but 4 times in the last 40 years. Nissan is awesome.

Nissan's significance in the automotive world is unparalleled. When I think racing and sports cars, I think "Nissan"!

Great points buddy. Thanks.

I completely agree. I'm back on board with you. Nissan produces the best sports cars in the world. Period. They sell the most and that makes them the best.

You know what else is awesome? Spam. That is the best meat in the world. Why? Because they regularly sell the most compared to other canned meat. It's not because it's cheap and the discerning masses can't afford better. It's just because it's the best out there.

And speaking of KoolAid. That's the best drink in the world too as far as powdered drinks go. They sell a ton of them. It's the best.

Great points buddy!

Sorry Lemmer. Gotta go with Nissan on this one.
