2009 Nissan GT-R vs. 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo - Balance and body control of the GT-R are extraordinary through faster, bumpy bends that will have the 911 unsettled enough to make the driver lose confidence. I had a number of heart-in-mouth moments in the Turbo trying to keep up with the GT-R, even with the Porsche's suspension set to its harder Sport setting. (more)

Replying to: bigmclargehuge (Apr 11, 2008 3:41 am) I'll try to write slowly so you get it. I have never written anywhere in this formum that I think that the 911 is "better" than the GTR. I can't make an intelligent claim either way because I have never DRIVEN it. But I'm sure as heck not going to blindly take someone else's word for it. I've disagreed with too many reviews once I got behind the wheel of the car myself. You think 3 performance statistics and/or company test drivers' opinions are the holy grail by which one car can be proclaimed to be "the best"? That isn't being objective, it's being ignorant. And I'd say the same thing regardless of who the "winner" was proclaimed to be. I think this forum is dead. How many opinions need to be written about reviews or opinions written by other people? For what purpose? To prove that they have spent more time READING about cars than the next guy (or gal). Putting that kind of time and effort into your day job might just raise your affordability threshold when you actually get around to buying something. Just a thought.
