I have a 2007 GT AWD loaded except for the technology package. I wanted the upgraded stereo since the base system sucked and I need my music when I'm driving 100+ miles/day. However, whenever there is the slightest bass in a song, I experience very loud vibrations coming from the plastic components one the passenger and driver door arm rests. It is coming from the plastic pieces on the arm rest right where the window controls are, and it is driving me crazy. This is the first new car I have bought, and I've been very disappointed with this. I can't listen to the stereo without being killed by these vibrations. The area furthest back on the arm rest has a cushioned rubber piece for your elbow, and there are no vibrations coming from there, but where there is plastic on plastic, the vibrations are unbearable. I don't know why there is no buffer between the two pieces to dampen the vibrations, but this "minor" problem has been a "major" disappointment for me. Don't know if anyone has experience this as well, and/or if you have found a fix for it, but when I took it to the dealership, they told me that there was nothing they could do about it. The styling and the performance is everything I wanted, but (and this may sound ridiculous to you) these vibration problems almost make me wish I had gone with one of the other vehicles I looked at. Any thoughts?
